The Party!

Maddie got to invite a few friends to celebrate her birthday. We went to the new Hannah Montana movie (great flik!) then for dinner & ice cream. It was a fun night enjoying these funny, darling little girls. Maddie had a great time!

Birthday Girl!

My baby girl turned 7! She is growing up way too fast! She wanted a big ol' party, but I talked her into down-sizing.... I bribed Aunt Whit to make decorate her cake, isn't it cute! We got everything ready so when she got home from school we could celebrate. Then later that night I took her & a few friends out on the town! She is such a fun little girl and growing up alot faster than I'd like, it just happens too fast! She got her ears pierced as part of her birthday this year, she also got a bed for her American Girl doll, some art stuff, boring clothes from her mom & alot of other stuff she was thrilled with. We had a fun day for her...

Easter 2009

Easter 2009: The Easter Bunny had to come to our house during church on Sunday, so the kids were extra good during sacrament meeting! The whole 9am church time really makes it tough on the Easter Bunny! They found their baskets, hunted eggs & we went to Grandma's for dinner & more egg hunting (I forgot my camera!). It was a beautiful Easter day.

Spring Break in SLC

Maddie was out for Spring Break so we took the kids down to SLC for a quick trip. We got a hotel, went swimming, had dinner at the Mayan (atmosphere is much better than the food!). We also went to Jungle Jim's, it's an indoor amusement park for kids. They loved it, it had bumper cars, a carousel, all kinds of little rides. They enjoyed it. We also took them to Build-A-Bear, they had a ball picking out their animals. It was expensive, but oh so much fun watching them create & pick just the right outfit. It was a busy weekend for sure, but we were able to enjoy our kids & hopefully build some fun memories!

Baby Animal Days!

My sister, Val & I took the kids to Baby Animal Days. It is very crowded, expensive & usually chilly... but the kids love it. They get to hold & pet all kinds of farm animals (we should just go to IFA) Eli & Maddie loved it, Ella & Allie weren't too thrilled. They liked to look, but didn't want to touch the animals or have them near them, probably safer for the animals too!

Eli turns 4!

Eli turned 4 this weekend (April 12) ... although it was a busy weekend with Spring Break, Easter & Baby Animal Days we had the family over for a birthday bash. He got lots of fun stuff that will keep him busy, busy, busy! That's what we like, because he is always on the go!

Viva Las Vegas!

I went to Vegas this past weekend with my sister Heather & some of her good friends to celebrate her 30th birthday. We had so much fun! The weather was warm, the shopping was great, the shows were incredible... it was a great weekend! Our first day we went shopping to the Fashion Show Mall... we all found a few things. This is one of the few group pics we got, so from left to right... Lindsey, Jenelle, Hilary, Heather, Keriann, & I...
I'm just not a lucky gal... I could really enjoy gambling if I could ever win... even $10 would have been fun! I stayed with the slots, mostly pennies & nickels... they were entertaining for me.. Jenelle was our biggest winner, she won $63, cashed out & didn't think twice... I didn't lose too much, but I kept hoping to hit it big!


Hilary is Heathers room-mate in SLC & Jenelle is a good friend she met at BBW here in Logan. We all had a good time together, it was fun to make some new friends. We stayed at Mandalay Bay, it was really nice! We got adjoining rooms so we could be all together.

The weather was gorgeous, a bit windy, but anything is better than the snow! We walked down the street to a new mall, Town Square (?). It was outdoors, so nice, alot of nice stores there. Great little yogurt shop... of course I always need a treat!

We went to dinner each night, we ate at some fun places. We had sushi, salads, hamburgers, fish, nachos, ice-cream.... hey we were on vacation! It was all so yummy!

Heather, Keriann is another friend from Logan, she is also married with 3 kids, so we had alot in common. I was glad another "mom" was there for me to hang with! Lindsay work with Heather at J. Crew in SLC. We all had alot in common & tons to chat about.

Walking the Strip... we walked around alot & saw alot of interesting things... you really see it all there in Vegas... the good, the bad & the ugly!

The grounds at Mandalay Bay were so nice & green & lush. There is so many pretty places to see.





Here we are in the lobby of Mandalay Bay, it was on the end of the Strip, but it was great. We were able to see a couple shows. We saw Phantom of the Opera... so incredible! I had always wanted to see it & it was awesome! We all loved it. We also saw a Cirque de Soleil show, Mystere. I didn't know much about it previous, but it was really good. Amazing what people can do with their bodies, it was very interesting & entertaining. I'm glad we were able to see them.

It was alot of fun to go with Heather, I really enjoyed hangin' out with her & her friends. I'm so glad to have a sister I can be so close with. I'm truly blessed to have her in my life...



We spent alot of time at the pool. It was so nice! There was a lazy river and a wave pool, and tons of room. It was always busy, but so relaxing & fun. We all got sunburned, but so worth it! Especially coming home to a blizzard! The weekend flew by way to quickly, but I had a wonderful time! Thanks for turning 30 Heather!
