West Yellowstone Weekend

We went to West Yellowstone this past weekend with Andy & Jodi Miller (Branden's sister) & our good friends, Pat & Kolett Lewis. We had a great time, we stayed in a condo in West Yellowstone & hung out, worked out (thanks Kolett!) pigged out, rocked out (guitar hero world tour) & peeled out riding snowmobiles through Yellowstone Park. We had a fabulous time with fabulous friends!

Pat & Kolett, getting frisky in town. It was pretty dead, but we walked around & shopped a little. It was beautiful weather, but cold! Brrr!

Aren't we the best looking people ever! We are all decked out & ready to ride! We rented snowmobiles, & all the gear in town & did a tour into Yellowstone up to Old Faithful. It was alot of fun, I had always wanted to do that. Branden used to snowmobile alot & thought it sounded boring with speed limits & all, but we decided we better go before they close the park to snowmobiling forever.

Waiting for Old Faithful, it was a gorgeous day, clear & cold. We ate lunch in a yert & then watched the geyser before heading back to West Yellowstone.

Pat & the bison .... we saw mostly bison & elk. Also a coyote, bald eagles, swans & we did see wolf prints! That was the closest we came...

Branden & I, we both really enjoyed ourselves. We had a lot of fun together & being with our friends. It was a great anniversary weekend.

Don't ask... well it was our sign. People said everyone looks alike in the snomobile gear, so we came up with our sign ... so no one would get lost... we were really cool! (not!)

If you look in the distance, you can see the Tetons. It was a very clear day & so gorgeous! So our guide took us on a detour to see the Tetons. Such beautiful scenery!

Our last stop of the day, it was a really fun day. Cold, but fun! We were all tired & hungry when we got back. We soaked in the hot-tub & ate lots of yummy food! What a way to end a great weekend!

Happy 9th Anniversary!

For our 9th Anniversary we went to West Yellowstone with some good friends. We rented snowmobiles & took a tour up into the park & up to Old Faithful. It is something I've always wanted to do, so we finally did it. We had a blast, it was so beautiful, we laughed, relaxed & enjoyed the company of good friends & family. We had a great weekend!

Snow Babies!

It was a beautiful day in Cache Valley, almost warm! (kinda) We just had to get out of the house. Eli & Allie didn't care that all the toys were covered in snow, they loved it! They keep asking when spring is coming so they can go out & play, well maybe it's coming afterall.
Of course as soon as they come outside, they park it in a snow drift & start eating snow, what is it with kids & eating snow?

After some prodding, Maddie decided to come & join the fun too... it's too bad her mom didn't even take the time to do her hair today! Oh well, she's still a babe.

My buddy, Eli. He was ready to get out & get some fresh air & run & play. We all have a bit of spring fever after a gorgeous day like today.

Allie had a hard time walking in the snow, but she did good, they usually want to come right in, but everyone was ready to enjoy the sun & nice weather today - I was ready to come in long before they were!

The swing-set was pretty buried, but they made it work.

I don't know why this is the favorite, Branden ran over it & broke the wheel, but the kids think it's great to just sit in. Hangin' out in the sandbox.

Eli climbed to the top, too bad the slide is completely covered!

It was so nice to get out of the house, the sun really does lift your mood, it felt wonderful.

They're such buddies, it's funny to watch them, they really watch out for each other & seem a bit lost without the other... maybe they were meant to be twins! They are at such a fun age right now, I am enjoying them so much (aside from all the messes they can make in a blink of the eye!)

We took the kiddie's to Hardware Ranch, to see the elk & go on the sleigh ride. It has been a few years, I thought the kids would like it. We needed to some family bonding anyway. (Doesn't dad look thrilled?)

I had heard of people having to wait in line for an hour, so we were lucky there weren't lines at all. We got right on & were taken out in the field on a big sleigh pulled by two beautiful work horses. Our driver was fun, very informative & easy-going. We learned all kinds of new things about elk. They are pretty amazing creatures, the kids enjoyed being so close.

Allie was her typical, full-of-it self. She is such a little nut! The kids were all really good, they had fun & it wasn't too cold out.

We were lucky enough to have aunt Heather with us too. Life is always funner with aunt Heather around! We love it when she comes up from SLC to spend some time with us.
